The Brief
Genesis wanted to create an experience that showcased the GV70 in a way that stood out from a traditional media drive. By linking into Exmoor’s Dark Skies Festival, the aim was to capture lifestyle, technology and automotive media with an immersive event that felt authentic, memorable, and brand aligned.

Challenges
Exmoor’s status as Europe’s first International Dark Sky Reserve made it the perfect location, but also presented risks:
- Remote setting with limited venue and accommodation options
- November weather conditions, with no guarantee of clear skies
- Logistical constraints around charging and powering equipment on site
The programme needed to be weather-proof and seamless for guests, without losing its sense of occasion.
The Experience
Guests stayed at The Shed & West Barn, chosen for its character and proximity to Exmoor. Dinner was locally sourced to root the experience in the region.
The stargazing element took place at Wimbleball Lake, with branded hats, blankets and heat pads keeping guests comfortable. Hot drinks and popcorn were powered directly by the GV70, showing the car’s versatility in real time.
Expert voices brought depth to the evening: a National Park Ranger spoke on conservation, while astronomer Mark Thompson guided the group through the night sky. When cloud cover blocked visibility, VR headsets allowed the experience to continue seamlessly, charged again by the cars on site.

Behind the Scenes
- A stretch tent gave cover while keeping the campfire feel.
- Cars powered the refreshments and VR equipment, showcasing capability in a subtle but authentic way.
- Local partners - from catering to conservation - reinforced the connection to Exmoor.
- Onsite leadership meant every transition, from dining to stargazing, ran seamlessly.

The Results
- Guests enjoyed a distinctive, story-led programme despite challenging weather conditions
- VR ensured delivery was uninterrupted and the brand story stayed intact
- Coverage reached across automotive, lifestyle and technology press, expanding brand visibility
- The client had confidence in Noble’s planning and onsite management, knowing every scenario had been anticipated and covered

Why It Worked
By placing the GV70 in an environment where innovation met nature, the experience felt both authentic and memorable. Careful planning meant every scenario was covered, giving guests a clear story and the client complete confidence.
What set this event apart was the balance between storytelling and detail. The car was not just on display but actively integrated into the experience, powering refreshments and technology. Local partners added richness and authenticity, while Noble’s orchestration ensured every moment flowed seamlessly.
The result was an evening that reflected the values of Genesis, resonated with media across sectors, and demonstrated how a thoughtfully designed programme can leave a lasting impression.
"We worked with Noble Events to deliver an event that highlighted and publicised the vehicle-to-load capabilities of our cars. As always, they were a dream to work with – meticulous in planning and then flexible on the event itself to iron out the inevitable niggles and minor issues. Their on-event support also means that our in-house team can maximise guest experience rather than move focus away to event logistics. Another successful event delivered!"
